I grocery shop, I meal plan, I try to cook healthy, balanced meals that everyone in my family will eat but come Friday evening I’ve had ENOUGH. At the end of the week I don’t want to have to cook anything else. So, Friday night is officially “Pizza and a Movie Night” in our house. I’m sure our family isn’t alone on this. I mean, does anyone really want to cook dinner on Friday? Pizza is the unanimous favourite meal for everyone in my home and something we can all look forward to, so every Friday night we order in.  Our family is excited that Panago Pizza is expanding its number of locations here in Ottawa. I grew up eating and loving their pizza out in B.C., and it turns out, my kids are huge fans too.

Panago recently opened their third Ottawa location at 458 Rideau Street. Their other two locations are in Barrhaven, near the Costco and at 1069 Bank St. Panago is committed to providing customers with ingredients that matter – that means: 100% organic tomato sauce, no artificial colours or flavours and the chicken and pork used to make Panago’s ham, Italian sausage, pepperoni and salami are raised without the use of antibiotics. Panago also offers both Vegan and gluten-smart options.

On this particular Friday evening we went with three pizzas: A Grilled Veggie and Goat Cheese, an Italian Classic and a Cheese (Lucas loves his plain cheese). We also got a Caesar salad (all of Panago’s salads are made fresh to order), and Panago’s super delicious Chicken Bites (the kids gobbled these down before I barely got a taste!)

Sometimes we eat at the table, but more often than not, we will plunk a blanket down in the living room and picnic it up while the movie begins.

Our Friday night pizza and a movie has become a tradition that we all look forward to. It’s such a great way to celebrate heading into the weekend (even if it isn’t always easy to agree on what movie we want to watch).
